Sleeping Beauty Dreams: Real-time Motion Capture Avatars Take Center Stage

The world premiere of Sleeping Beauty Dreams, a contemporary art exploration in progressive fantasy-style of the classic tale retold by by Magic Reality Group, will debut this month in Miami and New York. The EDM-influenced performance explores Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty, and will showcase the first-ever fusion of live contemporary ballet dance with real-time avatars projected on-stage. Magic Reality Group used Perception Neuron motion capture to bring the avatars to life. The ballet's creative team also worked closely with Italian digital arts studio, Fuse Works, to learn Perception Neuron's, technology.
