Students at Pembroke High School in Pembroke, Massachusettes were recently honored for their work with motion capture and 3D animation by their State Rep. Josh Cutler at the Massachusettes State House.
The three students, Anthony Sheehan-Alvarado, Lucy Townley-Maloit and Lara Federspiel took part in MassCUE (Massachusetts Computer Using Educators) joined by their Graphic Arts teacher, Jessica Lazarus, where they presented at the learning showcase, Education Evolution. The event is part of a broader focus on technology in the classroom. The students demoed animated characters they created with Maya and Perception Neuron. The students each received recognition certificates from the Massachusetts House of Representatives during the two-hour State House session.
